FDA continues to strengthen label supervision for dietary supplements, cracking down on disease‑treatment or‑relief claims without valid scientific evidence. Under updated requirements, all dietary supplements must clearly distinguish nutritional‑support claims from disease‑treatment claims. Enterprises are prohibited from implying that products can cure, treat or relieve specific diseases. Meanwhile, verification of ingredient authenticity is reinforced: actual ingredient content shall match label statements. Non‑compliant sampled products will face warning letters and product detention. These rules also apply to imported cross‑border health supplements. Enterprises exporting to the US shall review label texts and avoid medical‑oriented descriptions.
